Comments Requested to End Wolf Hunt

After losing its court case following the closure of very small areas near Yellowstone's boundary to wolf hunting and trapping, the Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks Commission will again take up the issue.  They announced a special meeting on January 29 in Helena in which they will take public comment on the issue.  
A vote by the commission on whether to close these areas again should follow public comment.  Since a court injunction over the closure issued earlier in the month, the areas were re-opened to wolf hunting and trapping.  It is not known at this time if additional park wolves were killed during this interim.
The meeting will be held at MTFWP Headquarters (1420 E. 6th Ave.) or listen and speak via video-conferencing in Bozeman, Region 3 headquarters (S. 19th St.).  Comments will be kept to 2 minutes.
